WAREHOUSE VALUE-ADDS CONTINUE WITH CONSTRUCTION OF 400M2 MEZZANINE EXTENSION IN A MIXED USE COMMERCIAL SPACE

This is the second almost identical project for repeat client JLL. Having completed a beautiful job for tenant Koala in 2018, JLL are continuing to upgrade their warehouse properties by value-adding with contemporary office expansions.

The central wall of units 4 and 5 was demolished to create one large industrial unit for a cleaning company tenant and a 400m2 mezzanine extension constructed, this time using concrete rather than timber and structural steel.

Evolve achieved a fast track programme with limited margin for downtime by firstly introducing a 3-day concrete mix to allow the new mezzanine level to be stripped earlier than traditional concrete. This allowed for fitout works on the extension to progress in full 3 days after the pour. Secondly, Evolve carefully monitored the programme daily and pushed key trades into nightshift to speed up the process.
