Social Futures | Temporary Accommodation Hub
Info
There are some projects that measure success in square metres.
And some that measure success in lives changed. This one is the latter.
Proud to share the completion of a new 54-room supported temporary accommodation hub in Lismore, delivered in partnership with Social Futures and officially opened alongside Rose Jackson, Janelle Saffin and Mayor Steve Krieg. This wasn’t just an upgrade, it was about creating a place that feels safe, dignified, and genuinely supportive.
The facility includes:
• 54 rooms with interconnecting layouts for families
• 14 dedicated units for women 55+ in crisis
• Communal spaces and a children’s playroom
• Consultation rooms for onsite support teams
• High-quality security and passive design principles
• 24/7 management and wrap-around services
Every detail was considered to support people through one of the hardest chapters of their lives, not just providing a roof, but the environment and infrastructure that help them transition to long-term housing stability.
Seeing a flood-affected site reimagined to directly support the Northern Rivers community is exactly why we love what we do.
